What is Dyslexia and How Can I Support a Dyslexic Student in the Classroom?
This workshop explains in detail exactly what dyslexia is. It provides in-depth information about the definition of dyslexia and the scientific research to back it up. It will also include ways to support the dyslexic student in the classroom and helpful activities to use with them. There will be a variety of make and take activities. The areas of reading, spelling, morphology (vocabulary), math, study skills and homework will be covered. Come learn how you can make a difference in the life of the dyslexic students you have in your classroom!
*If your district is not a member of EMCED, you will be charged $100.00 to attend this workshop.
Lunch will not be provided. You will be given approximately an hour to have lunch with your training colleagues on your own.
